Jim Minges and Laura DeBaun have been recognized for outstanding service to the Kansas library community.  Awards for their work were presented at the annual Kansas Library Association conference in Topeka.

Jim, director of NEKLS, received the Duane Johnson Library Leadership Award presented by Friends of Kansas Libraries.  This award recognizes Jim’s leadership in resource sharing and library development.  Jim has shared his expertise on numerous state-wide committees to the benefit of all Kansas libraries.

Laura, NEKLS business manager, received a KLA Presidential Award for Meritorious Service.  Laura’s work on behalf of KLA have simplified and strengthened the business procedures of the organization.  Laura is known for her expertise in library budgeting and financial procedures.

Congratulations are extended to Jim and Laura.
