Does your library have an organized Friends group?  Do they belong to Friends of Kansas Libraries?   Joining FoKL will keep your Friends eligible for the annual FoKL awards and grants program.  Friends funds go twice as far toward support of library programs and purchases  with a FoKL challenge grant.  Challenge grants are distributed through competitive applications as matching funds only to FoKL members.   Challenge grant winners last year included Friends of Morrill Public Library who received $400 for the purchase of children’s tables and chairs which are utilized for storytime, discovery time and craft activities.

Annual FoKL membership for Friends groups is $25.  Keep your Friends active in this state-wide organization that rewards good work of volunteers at your library.  Join FoKL as a supporting organization or individual, too.  Great libraries need great Friends.
