Do you want more public support for your library?

Do you want to be part of a fun, attention getting project to engage your community?

If so, you’re invited to be one of the NEKLS libraries participating in the Geek the Library project , a professionally designed but community-based public awareness campaign aimed at spreading the word about the vital and growing role of your public library, and to raise awareness about the critical funding issues public libraries face. Geek the Library can help you tell your library’s story, while engaging the public to join the local public library funding discussion. Over time, this campaign can help significantly increase community awareness about the value of the library and how the library is funded—leading to the support your library needs when it counts!

This campaign is for any NEKLS public library that wants to invest some time and resources into better community support. This is going to be a great project for libraries that want to get on board.

Want to sign up? Contact Janie Rutherford at the State Library janie.rutherford@library.ks.gov and let her know.
