Joining KLA is Easier Than Ever!

Trustees of  NEKLS Accredited Libraries are required to join the Kansas Library Association (KLA) and the Kansas Library Trustee Association (KLTA). A new paper KLA Membership Form is now available, making it easier than ever for public library directors to enroll their library trustees.

KLA recently added a new “Trustees Only” membership category, with an annual fee of $25. NEKLS will reimburse  $10 of this fee for each trustee who joins, making membership affordable for everyone.

To take advantage of this opportunity, do the following:

  1. Print out and complete a KLA Membership Form for each trustee, with the “Trustees only…$25″ category marked.  Each trustee needs his or her own email address.
  2. Submit the forms with payment covering all of the memberships to the Kansas Library Association. You can pay by credit card or check (made out to KLA).
  3. Send the list of trustees who have joined KLT/KLTA to Carolyn Little by e-mail (clittle@nekls.org), mail, courier, or fax (785-838-3989) and NEKLS will send reimbursement to your library.

NOTE: KLA welcomes institutional memberships, but no trustee or individual memberships are eligible for the NEKLS subsidy as part of an institutional membership.
