Kansas Library Express is moving mountains of materials throughout Kansas.  With 40 libraries yet to report, July numbers reflect a remarkable level of interlibrary lending.  The 242 libraries shipping materials during July have reported 51,406 items sent on the courier.  Though the average number per library is just over 200, some libraries are lending at a record pace.  Ottawa Library sent nearly 2300 items on Kansas Library Express during July.

When schools resume delivery at the end of August, there will be increased traffic on the courier.  This means more shipping, more sharing, and more patrons receiving service through libraries that participate on Kansas Library Express.  Thanks to all who have joined the courier service. It is keeping costs down and providing a valuable service to our communities.
