The State Library of Kansas and the Kansas Center of the Book have announced this year’s Kansas Reads to Preschoolers’ pick, Bear Feels Sick by Karma Wilson. Jeannie Kendall at Osage City Library has shared these bear activity pages to use during the week. Children can color the quilt and bear – then may need some help cutting on the lines so the bear can be tucked up for the night. Find more activities and resources on the Kansas Reads to Preschoolers…about Health website.

Thank you for the activity pages. I am having a Children’s Mercy Pediatric Dietician come to our Tuesday Nov.18th storytime to read and visit with parents and children. Wednesday, Nov.19th a Pediatric Oncology Nurse from KUMED will read and have a little presentation. I have 9 outreach storytimes planned at local preschools. I’m also
doing a drawing for my little readers in the main
library for a basket with a teddy bear, book, blanket and toy doctor bag. Jeanne Dunbar
