The State Library of Kansas has negotiated an arrangement with LYRASIS that provides new purchasing discounts to replace those formerly provided through BCR. Kansas libraries with budgets under $200,000 may use almost all LYRASIS services, and all Kansas libraries will be eligible to use the LYRASIS vendor discounts. A detailed list of these discount rates, including some additional discounts that NEKLS has negotiated, are available on the NEKLS web site at    http://www.nekls.org/nekls-services/discounts-group-purchasing/

This also means that libraries with budgets under $200,000 (and many larger libraries) have no reason to respond to the membership solicitations that LYRASIS has continued to send to Kansas libraries). To be clear: unless your library has a budget higher than $200,000 and considers that services of LYRASIS other than vendor discounts justify the membership fee, we advise you to ignore any membership solicitation or invoice from LYRASIS.
