Learning Express

KLOW or WordPress-based site Instructions

  1. Install, and activate the Image Widget plugin on your KLOW or WordPress Site. You can quickly do this by clicking Plugins in the sidebar of the Admin panel. Click Add New. In the Search box, search for Image Widget. In the results, look for the one just named Image Widget, version 3.2.2, by Shane and Peter, Inc. (version is accurate as of 10/25/10). Click Install Now and then if necessary Activate Plugin.
    • NOTE: if you already have this widget installed, please make sure it is up-to-date. As of 10-25-10, the current version is 3.2.2.
  2. On the WordPress Admin panel, go to Appearance –> Widgets.
  3. Add the Image Widget to your sidebar.
  4. Edit the new Image Widget settings, adding the following information:
    1. Title — Learning Express Library
    2. Image — The Learning Express logo
    3. Caption: suggested text: A service of the State Library of Kansas
    4. Link: The state library has simplified the link to use. Use the link http://www.learningexpresslibrary.com.
    5. Add or change any other information you see fit to change.
    6. Click Save to save your widget.
    7. Check your website to make sure the link to Learning Express Library looks how you want it to.

Regular webpage instructions

Simple way: Add the Learning Express logo to your library’s website (small image OR large image), and link the image to http://www.learningexpresslibrary.com
