Future site of the new Linwood Community Library
The Linwood Community Library has purchased the former Linwood Café on Highway 32. We are currently developing plans for remodeling the space and anticipate opening this summer.
For years, the Linwood Community Library has been severely constrained for space, unable to expand its collection or to provide adequate seating for programs and patron use. The new library will give us about twice as much space as the current library and enable us to develop separate children, young adult and adult reading areas in addition to adding computers and better staff facilities.
The location of the new library will significantly improve the library’s visibility and access for members of the whole library district. In addition to the City of Linwood, the district includes all of Sherman and Reno townships.
The Friends of Linwood Library are hosting a Bingo fundraiser April 10th, from 4-7, at the Linwood Community Center to raise funds for a new sign.
