Online Consultant is In

Have you tried the new NEKLS Online Help “Online Consultant” feature yet?  If it’s glowing blue, we are logged in and ready to help!  If it’s not glowing, leave a message for when we do log in.  Of course, you are free to contact us by the traditional means of phone, fax and e-mail, as well.

Mibew Messenger developed this “open source live support software” that we are using to provide online chat reference service through the Web site.  Just like a telephone call, we can transfer chat questions among staff.  Once we’ve answer your question, you can email yourself a copy of the transcript for future reference; we keep an archived copy.  This free product has many features that make it useful for a library chat reference service.  We will let you know how we like it, but so far it works very well!
