Pinterest, the hottest social network in town, is beginning to be used in creative ways by many libraries. Clermont County (OH) Public Library is using Pinterest for visual readers’ advisory, curating 34 topical boards, including new books for February 2012, staff favorites, and using unique categories, such as Zombie books and Geek TV. Each item is linked directly into the library’s online catalog, allowing patrons quick and easy ways to see what’s new at the library and place holds on materials.

This post has been very helpful. I just started using Pinterest a couple of days ago, and I’m going crazy with it.

I have a Library Fun board on my personal Pinterest account. I save ideas that look like they’d be fun to do at craft days at the library. We haven’t made the leap to start an account for the library…yet.
