The School Librarians’ Workshop will be on Wednesday, July 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m (registration starts at 8:30; speaker starts at 9), with the theme, “Collaboration Starts at Home.” The keynote speaker will be Tasha Squires, author of “Library Partnerships: Making Connections between School and Public Libraries.”
Tasha Squires currently works as a young adult consultant for the Shorewood-Troy Public Library District in Shorewood, IL collaborating and implementing programs for teens. Previously, she was the Young Adult Librarian for the Fountaindale Public Library District in Bolingbrook, IL for over eight years. In her tenure there, she worked extensively with the public school district and made wonderful connections with the teachers, students and administrators.
