Silver Lake welcomes new Director Dan Knupp

Silver Lake, Kansas–The Board of Directors of the Silver Lake Public Library is proud to announce that Dan Knupp has been named the Director of the Silver Lake Public Library. He started with the Library on March 1, 2010.

The Silver Lake Public Library is a township Library that has served the Silver Lake community since 1975. The Library is located at 201 E. Railroad. Library hours are: Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The library is closed on Sunday.

Dan Knupp

Knupp is a lifelong Kansas resident originally from Larned, Kansas. Most recently he has worked as director of marketing and communications for the Kansas Rural Water Association. Prior to that he was director of public relations for the K-State College of Veterinary Medicine. Knupp came to northeast Kansas from Wichita where he worked for several years in healthcare marketing. Knupp currently serves on the board of directors for the Kansas Learning Center for Health in Halstead, and is a long-time past volunteer for the American Cancer Society, the United Way, and American Red Cross, having served on their boards of directors in Wichita and Newton. Dan and his wife Linda live in rural Wamego, Kan. where they enjoy their pets and gardens. He is a graduate of the University of Kansas.
