A HANDS-ON INTRODUCTION TO THE STATE LIBRARY’S ELECTRONIC RESOURCES
with Eric Gustafson, State Library of Kansas
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29TH
10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
NEKLS LAB
4317 West 6th Street
Lawrence, KS

Due to overwhelming demand, a second session of this workshop, which was held on March 27, has been scheduled for April 29. A third session is planned for Tuesday, May 26.

Do you know about all the great resources for libraries available from the Kansas State Library’s web site? This hands-on lab session will give you a introduction to the many valuable services you can offer your patrons courtesy of the State Library of Kansas, including:

* Audiobooks, Music & More (now Mac/iTunes friendly!)
* Statewide Databases (Chilton’s, HeritageQuest, NoveList, World Book, and much, much more!)
* Local IP Address Recognition (quick and easy access to resources from all your computers!)
* Kansas Library Card
* WebJunction Kansas

Participants will receive a thorough explanation of these tools in a hands-on, small group tutorial session led by Eric Gustafson, the State Library’s Library Technology Consultant. A great refresher for veteran librarians, and a perfect introduction for new librarians! The session will conclude with a free pizza lunch and informal discussion session.
