Have you heard? Cathy Newland is back! Hers is a familiar name in NEKLS circles. She was the esteemed director of the Morrill Public Library in Hiawatha for years. We were sad to see her retire last year. Retirement was a bit too slow paced to suit her, so she decided to return to librarianship. Luckily, she’s taken on the director role at another NEKLS library, the Silver Lake Public Library.
The Silver Lake Public Library is a township library that has served the Silver Lake community since 1975. The Library is located at 201 E. Railroad. Library hours are: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The library is closed on Sunday.
Stop in at the Silver Lake Public Library’s Open House on December 20th from 5 PM – 6:30 PM to help welcome Cathy back to the NEKLS fold!
