Fundraising & Public Relations Professional

Northeast Kansas Library System (NEKLS) is hiring a Fundraising & Public Relations professional to strengthen our member libraries’ capacity for fundraising and strategic engagement with various constituencies.  If you are a skilled communicator with fundraising experience ready to help libraries succeed, then this may be the job for you!

Full time, exempt salaried.

Under the supervision of the System Director, this professional provides consulting services to member libraries of the NEKLS, with an emphasis on library fundraising, public relations and advocacy.  Duties include consulting with member libraries on fundraising programs, capital campaigns, case statements, and Friends of the Library organizations; as well as consulting on public relations and advocacy, including effective storytelling and developing positive community relationships.  Provide training to library staff and library boards on fundraising, public relations and advocacy.  Partner with the Northeast Kansas Library Foundation (Foundation) on fundraising for targeted initiatives.  Participate in the development and provision of grantmaking programs by NEKLS and the Foundation.

NEKLS is one of seven Kansas Regional Systems of Cooperating Libraries and is dedicated to providing universal access to exceptional library service through its 117 member libraries in the 14 counties of Northeast Kansas.

Office Coordinator

Northeast Kansas Library System (NEKLS) is hiring an Office Coordinator to help our organization provide excellent member services.  If you are a skilled communicator with strong organizational skills and a can-do attitude, then this may be the job for you!

Under the supervision of the System Director, the Office Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for members and other customers, on the phone or in person.  The Office Coordinator handles various library functions, provides support services for continuing education events, and performs general office duties.
