The NEKLS 2013 Budget Hearing and System Board Meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library on Thursday, August 16th, 2012.
The 2012 Tech and Innovation Day program will begin with something new: a business meeting of the full system board. The full board meeting will include the agenda usually conducted by the NEKLS Executive Board. The primary business will be the annual budget hearing and approval of the official 2013 budget of the Northeast Kansas Library System. This business meeting is being held to ensure full compliance with the statutory requirement that the annual budget be approved by the system board. Executive Board members, System Representatives appointed by NEKLS member libraries (or proxies representing those libraries if the system representative will not be in attendance), and Governor’s Appointees may vote at the business meeting.
