9:00 AM – 9:30 AM Registration
9:30 AM – 11:00 AM Keynote presentation by storyteller Priscilla Howe – Putting the book down: Storytelling in the Library. In this keynote, Pricilla will mix stories from books for different ages in with personal experience tales, sprinkled with how-to and why-to for librarians.
11:00 AM – Noon Breakout Session #1 — choose a session in one of three age groups Birth to 5, K-5th grade, pre-teen/teen
Noon – 1:00 PM Lunch served on-site
1:00 – 2:00 PM Breakout Session #2 — choose a session in one of three age groups Birth to 5, K-5th grade, pre-teen/teen
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Breakout Session #3 — choose a session in one of three age groups Birth to 5, K-5th grade, pre-teen/teen
The highly interactive breakout sessions will provide participants with an opportunity to hear about what other libraries are doing and
also to share ideas and experiences. A big part of the fun this day offers will be in getting to know people from other libraries who are
working to provide excellent library service to children and young adults, too.
