Public library trustees and directors are encouraged to join us for one of our 2012 Trustee Training Workshops – A Trustee Double Feature: One workshop, featuring two timely topics.

Several locations and dates are being offered, so choose the one most convenient for you. Tonight’s training will take place at the Winchester Community Building (411 Spruce St., Winchester 66097) from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The schedule for the evening is as follows:

5:30 – 6    Meet and eat (a light supper will be served).

6:00 – 7:15    Serving Readers in a Digital Age: How will ebooks and ereaders impact public libraries? A presentation by NEKLS staff.

7:15 – 7:30   Break.

7:30 – 8:30    Working Together: Best practices and tips that can help make your board meetings more productive and effective than ever. A presentation by Cathy Newland.

There is no charge for the event, but registration is required. Register here no later than March 2nd.

This workshop is also being offered on March 6th in Seneca, March 8th in Paola, and the morning of March 10th in Lawrence.
